Hi there everyone, the stable release of v1.13 is here – v1.13.0 aka “Keep your pedalboards close and your banks closer”. This release focuses on 2 main things – Separation of User and Factory content and toolchain updates. The list of new features was posted on the 1.13.0-RC1 announcement, but let’s go through them again.   Separation of User and Factory content In order to more easily differentiate between user-created pedalboards and those from the system (also called “factory pedalboards”), this update ships with pedalboards as part of the system contents. Not just for a separation, this feature also allows […]

Dear Community, we would like to introduce you to the new MOD Assistant and invite you for Beta testing! This Assistant will help you replicate a guitar tone from an audio sample using an AI-generated Pedalboard. You can instantly try the suggested pedalboard on your MOD device and tweak the tone to your taste. To check it out, have your MOD device connected, updated and go to assistant.mod.audio Unlike with beta testing of new MOD OS versions or plugins, testing the MOD Assistant does not affect the stability of your MOD device at all. The stable 1.12.1 update is needed […]

Hi everyone After some requests, here is the topic where we will be posting all the reboot related updates from now on. In that way, those who wish can simply subscribe to this topic and we keep things nice and tidy. As a reference, here is the list of reboot posts made since the reboot started: MOD Insolvency and Reboot News Dear MOD community members I am sad to announce that MOD Devices GmbH has reached the end of its line. This is the result of a two-year crisis that started with the COVID impacts on our supply chain in […]

Hi MOD users Some updates here about the reboot. As Andreas has written in the other thread, we had some hiccups on the transition process. I want to give you some details here on the general status, what went well and what did not. Before proceeding, I’d like to share some images to give you more context. Not sure I gave details before, but we had to leave the office on September 5th, after the insolvency was declared by the court. As we were considering the reboot, all the general assets (tables, chairs computers, etc) plus the production material that […]

Dear MOD users I am very happy to inform you all that WE MADE IT !! Yesterday the sum of signed LoCs surpassed 200k€. Yesterday we founded the new company, MOD Audio UG. Yesterday we signed the asset purchase deal with the Insolvency Administrator, who already signed it back. And earlier today we secured the new office lease. Yay! What an awesome thing to live and see. We are stoked here about the engagement and commitment of our community. You guys really rock! After multiple fundraisers that I have made through this journey, I can honestly say that this was […]

We need to reach 200k€ and the sum of received commitments is displayed in this dashboard below: FundRace commitment monitor There are two counters because the first step of pledging for the investment is automated and the second step of digitally signing the Letter of Commitment is manual. If you consider joining the fundraiser, you can fill in your name and email in the following form and we will forward you the investment-related information so that you can consider if you´d like to participate. Dear MOD users I would like to thank all those who filled out the survey. We received a total of 543 responses showing a very high engagement. First and foremost, I would like to applaud the respect and understanding of the users. Only three respondents made use of the F-word in the open fields, which is remarkable in such a dire situation. Getting the amount of hate I am currently getting, it is refreshing to see a small number of disrespectful comments. I thank you guys immensely. The results of the survey bring valuable insights regarding the future of MOD, […]

Dear MOD Community, We would like to leave stealth mode with a research project and share some exciting results. With the core team, we could not afford to work on anything really future related since I joined MOD two years ago. Delivering against crowdfunding promises and retailer requests took absolute priority. Still I wanted to make a tiny moonshot on the side somehow happen. We were lucky enough to have @itskais join us for his end of master study internship, starting in March and finishing this week. As several attempts for investment failed, it was truly not the ideal time […]

"I went down to the crossroads Fell down on my knees" Dear members of the MOD community Unfortunately, we have not reached the minimum funding needed to execute our reboot plan. Without the funding, we could not proceed with the deal we were organizing alongside the preliminary insolvency administrator and carry on with the reboot in due time. In fact, we even moved backwards on the committed funding amount. More details on that are coming below. This does not mean the game is over yet, but we have even less control over the next steps. We are now moving into […]

Dear MOD community members I am sad to announce that MOD Devices GmbH has reached the end of its line. This is the result of a two-year crisis that started with the COVID impacts on our supply chain in Q2/2020, and the snowball effect of the cash flow disruption triggered by the failure of the Crowdcube campaign in Q4/2020. During these last 24 months, the founders and shareholders have bridged the finances multiple times in failed attempts to get back on track. But the private cash from shareholders only is not sufficient and, with the worsening of the general economy […]

Hey everyone! I hope you’re doing well I’m writing to give everyone a heads up that we are planning to make some big changes to the Forum in the coming weeks to try to improve the experience here. We want to make it easier for people to find what they are looking for and to foster discussions in areas that have been neglected It’s mostly going to be a kind of spring cleaning. A tidy up and reorganization effort. That means we are going to restructure the categories and the layout of the landing page. No topics will be deleted, […]

Dear members of the MOD community We are proud to announce the launch of the Guitar Synths, a result of an effort that gravitates around the recently launched Audio-to-CV Pitch plugin. Check out the promo video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/Yillr6hbw5A In order to get everyone up and running with minimum effort, we have created five pedalboards that cover a wide range of different synth sounds. You can get them here. We also prepared videos for the different audiences, with an overview of the synths, demos of the created pedalboards, and the anatomy of the guitar synth, so that CV aficionados can dive deeper […]
